NAAAP Toronto celebrated 1 year of the ERG Leadership Council

Toronto -- NAAAP Toronto celebrated 1 year of the ERG Leadership Council, a cross industry group of corporate leaders who come together to discuss, debate and share best practices around how they drive diversity and inclusion within their companies. Hosted by the Home Depot, this round table session focused on how to translate diversity and inclusion strategies into action across business channels and sites. ERG Chairs from Capital One, Nielsen, BMO and PepsiCo said they walked away feeling enlightened by the discussion and excited to share key learnings with their colleagues.

Orange Mosaic executive sponsor Vinod Nalajala mentioned he was thrilled to be hosting this discussion as it aligns with Home Depot’s 8 Core Values and company initiatives. Over the past year, the Council has discussed topics such as Unconscious Bias, Diversity in Recruiting, Increasing Employee Engagement in addition to offering access to community events and leadership symposiums to nurture career development and meaningful relationships. NAAAP Toronto Board Member & ERG Leadership Council Chair Tania DeSa says “ Driving change is hard and it can feel like a lonely journey sometimes. This council is about bringing people together, honouring and leveraging their talents, brilliant ideas and then keeping them inspired to take action to create more diverse and inclusive corporate environments.” For more information on the NAAAP Toronto ERG Leadership Council
