Focused on fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, Agnes Kovios, Canada Director of People Experience and Talent Strategy at Dentons Canada LLP, led the development of the MyCareer@Dentons program to support the growth and development of Firm members. A cornerstone of the MyCareer@Dentons initiative is the Dentons Career Compass, a competency framework to help individuals excel. Agnes directed its development and implementation, ensuring it is closely linked to the Firm’s goals and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility strategy. The initiative is comprised of many projects which have offered opportunities for skills building for the Talent team, the results of which have provided exceptional career development supports for all members of the Firm.
Agnes strives to develop a culture of learning within the Talent team. She encourages Talent team members to pursue certifications and courses and experiment with new technology tools. Agnes also led a comprehensive review of the recruitment process, focusing on streamlining and enhancing the candidate experience. The review led to alignment between the Centers of Expertise and Talent Advisory teams, building clear accountability within the process and underscoring the value of continuous improvement. She scales people-centered change plans by leveraging proven change management frameworks.
