Brigid Pelino Recognizes That Engagement and Inclusion Are a Team Effort


Brigid Pelino, Senior Vice-President and Chief People & Culture Officer at Definity, believes that engaging employees is at the heart of their performance, culture, and brand. This focus is clear in her partnership with the Definity team to increase employee engagement from 54% in 2019 to 80% in 2022.

This includes having a governance model for inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility (IDEA) where every executive leadership team member plays an active role. It means empowering Employee Groups with support to make change. It also involves measuring progress with IDEA. 90% of employees at Definity feel diverse perspectives are encouraged and valued.

Brigid has also been a catalyst with the Definity team to also invest in learning, recognition, hybrid work flexibility, leadership development and HR technology.
