Darryl Castellano Unlocks Workforce Potential at Wesco International


Darryl Castellano is the VP of Global Inclusion, Diversity and Engagement at Wesco International and launched the Inclusion and Diversity Program. When Wesco doubled its global workforce by acquiring another company, he focused on Inclusion and Diversity to help merge the cultures through networking and common goals. Darryl led the growth of the VOICE Business Resource Groups to 6,000 employees globally and BRGs from four to six to span most dimensions of diversity. Through the company’s corporate philanthropic program, Wesco Cares, each BRG is allocated $25,000 to support causes they choose. An example is the MOSAIC BRG in Canada, which supports Truth and Reconciliation efforts and Clean Drinking Water initiatives.

As a business leader focusing on Inclusion and Diversity, Darryl has grown through experience to fully understand what it means to say, “Our People are our Greatest Asset.” His focus on what makes people unique and diverse enables unlocking potential within the workforce by linking people's passion to the business. He has created safe spaces where employees can be open, honest, and provide feedback.
