Manisha Burman is the EVP & CHRO for CI Financial. She is driving the integration of more than 28 disparate HR teams to form one centralized US HR function at Corient, a division of CI Financial. Manisha created one global team with three high-performing centers of expertise. She is actively involved in numerous community initiatives and serves as an advisor for organizations committed to removing barriers for newcomers to Canada. Over her career, her successes in the diversity and inclusion space include centralizing and automating recruitment processes to attract a diverse pool of top talent and measuring DEI progress for accountability. Manisha is standardizing the reporting of HR KPIs to improve oversight, accountability, and outcomes.
A renewed Community Giving strategy has strengthened community connections, and under Manisha and CI leadership, numerous milestones in community engagement and support were achieved. They include supporting 227,000 meals for individuals in need through an annual donation, providing 300 in-kind donations to Nellie’s Shelter for women, and developing scholarships with the Children’s Aid Foundation. Manisha uses a collaborative leadership style, serving as an active mentor and developer of talent.
