Lou Strickland is the Country Quality Head at Bayer Canada. She founded the first Bayer Business Resource Group in Canada, which raises awareness of LGBTQ+ communities. This led to the creation of five additional employee resource groups in Canada, focused on Black Employees, People with Disabilities, Employee Generations, Indigenous Peoples, and Women. Lou led the global Transgender Working group, which developed the first company transgender policy, led a project that developed a framework for establishing a D&I metrics system, and co-leads the Canadian Advisory Council of Inclusion and Diversity.
Bayer Canada has taken many steps to foster a vibrant and inclusive culture, and Lou has played a critical role. She develops partnerships with not-for-profit organizations that focus on systemic issues and empower marginalized voices, such as Friends of Ruby Lou also strives to create lasting change through social impact initiatives that invest in local communities.
