ThoughtExchange, the world’s only Enterprise Discussion Management platform powered by patented anti-bias technology, has promoted their former Head of Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ADE&I) Karen Craggs-Milne to VP of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance). This promotion comes at a time when organizations are increasingly realizing the cultural and environmental reset needed within the technology industry. Since inception, ThoughtExchange has been at the forefront of empowering global leaders and organizations to facilitate, at scale, difficult but important conversations to accelerate the shift towards more sustainable, equitable and inclusive workplaces and societies.
In her newly appointed role, Craggs-Milne will be facilitating salient conversations and research to determine ESG initiatives ThoughtExchange is taking and can take in the future to support sustainability goals. Her responsibilities will expand to focus on an array of components (ie.purpose, social impact, supplier diversity, Board diversity and governance, environmental impact and climate resilience), with a particular focus on how these seemingly different strands of ESG relate in an intersectional manner. The ESG portfolio will also leverage ThoughtExchange’s real-time, anti-bias collective intelligence platform to support customers on their own ESG journeys. “This new role expands on Karen’s ability to balance vision and execution in her work, and will ensure that the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion is pervasive across our organization,” said Dave MacLeod, CEO of ThoughtExchange. “Only by operationalizing these critical values can organizations truly scale their purpose in lasting ways for their employees, customers and community at large.”
ThoughtExchange investor Yaletown Partners, an ESG leader in the Venture Capital community, expresses their full support in ThoughtExchange’s decision to embark on this journey. “We applaud the appointment of a VP of ESG at ThoughtExchange. It is vital that we share these core values and purpose with companies like ThoughtExchange,” said Salil Munjal, Managing Partner, Yaletown Partners.

At a time when more consumers and employees are seeking organizations that have a Purpose in the world, ThoughtExchange is expanding its definition of success, to factor in its contributions toward sustainable development, which include environment, social justice, and more. Craggs-Milne’s new role will amplify and accelerate ThoughtExchange’s efforts towards a sustainable world. “ “I am extremely proud of the collective progress our company has made on our Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments since I joined as Head of ADE&I in 2020, “ said Craggs-Milne on her new appointment. “The creation of a VP of ESG role signals ThoughtExchange’s commitment to bringing our purpose-driven ESG to life—with the same level of rigor and intentionality across all aspects of our business. Being trusted to lead this work is both a career highlight and a dream come true. I am grateful and excited to serve our company and our incredible customers and partners on this ESG journey.”
